Who are McCoard Ltd?
McCoard Ltd Are a small Engineering Company based in Invercargill, New Zealand
The boss is Nigel McCoard, who has 40+ years of experience as a qualified Fabrication Engineer, Welder and Engineering Machinist, specialising in Machinery design and maintenance.

Does Nigel McCoard know anything about Horses?
Heck yes, 50 plus years as a Rider in Showjumping, Dressage and Eventing. Still competing at Level 4 Dressage, Show-jumping young horses, and Coaching Combinations.

How did Kiwi Arena Rakes start?
Back in January 2016 the first rake was designed and built for personal use on a sand type arena.
To date over 300 units have been sold in New Zealand, dealing with the full range of sand, and sand mix, surface types.
Today the design, construction and sales of ‘Kiwi Arena Rakes’, forms a major part of the works done by McCoard Ltd.
McCoard Ltd staff have travelled to Ireland, Germany, England, France, Australia, USA and Spain to study Arena Construction, Maintenance and Arena Grooming machinery design.

We believe the combination of Engineering design and build experience, combined with a life time of practical Equestrian knowledge, means that Kiwi Arena Rakes can offer machines, technical knowledge, service, and back-up, second to none in New Zealand.
